It's about time I introduced a ram patch for Windows Vista/7/8/10 onto this site. 32-bit versions of Windows are artificially locked out of their full potential of ram! Even Windows XP SP1 was originally capable of ram usage over 4gb! It's time for modern Windows to join the party on this blog and do their job better than before!

If 4 GB of system memory is already installed, part of that address space must be reserved by the graphics memory mapping. Graphics memory mapping overwrites a part of the system memory.

Which Microsoft patch ? You don't need to install any patch if you could read the card before without it.

Take a look on the Sony site in the software downloads for your specific model - there may be something there for the Sony Memory Stick support.

Make sure you're inserting the card all the way, the right side up.

Were you able to read the same card before in the same reader slot ?
If no....
- some types of cards can't be read by some readers.

If yes....
- you may have damaged the data, most likely because you didn't use Safely Remove Hardware and STOP accessing the card before you unplugged it while Windows was running. That can usually be fixed by using a program to repair the damage. See the Troubleshooting USB device problems info, regarding not being able to access data you could access previously, next.
